Position Purpose

The Vice President of Training & Education is a strategic, enterprise‑level leader responsible for setting the vision, strategy, and execution of training and education programs for our franchise locations. This role ensures that training initiatives directly support the salon team’s technical skills, business performance, brand standards, talent development, and long‑term growth.

 

The VP of Training & Education will lead the design and delivery of scalable, innovative learning solutions that enhance operational excellence, elevate service quality, and drive engagement at all levels—from stylists to leadership. This position oversees education strategy, learning technology, field education teams, and external partners, serving as a key advisor to senior leadership and franchise stakeholders.

 

The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in leveraging new learning technologies, digital platforms, and AI‑driven tools to design and deliver impactful training programs. This role will evaluate, implement, and optimize technology‑enabled learning solutions to increase effectiveness, personalization, and scalability of education for both salon teams and leaders. Experience working within a franchise organization is strongly preferred.


We are looking for someone located near Minneapolis, Minnesota and is able to work in office as needed.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive training and education strategy aligned with company objectives, brand standards, and growth initiatives for both technical and non-technical training.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership, providing insight on workforce capability, learning effectiveness, and performance outcomes.
  • Ensure training programs reflect current trends, innovations, and best practices in the salon industry.
  • Develop certification programs, skill assessments, and career progression pathways.
  • Oversee in-salon training, workshops, digital learning platforms, and live events.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of educators, trainers, and technical specialists.
  • Ensure all education aligns with brand identity, service standards, and guest experience expectations.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging techniques, and new technologies.
  • Introduce innovative learning methods, including digital and hybrid training models, with a strong understanding of how learners engage, adapt, and build skills in an evolving, technology‑driven environment.
  • Represent the company at industry events, shows, and educational platforms.
  • Establish annual education priorities, budgets, and success metrics with a focus on return on investment (ROI).
  • Ensure training content is consistent, inclusive, culturally relevant, and reflective of diverse employee and guest needs.
  • Partner with franchisees and field leaders to ensure training adoption, execution, and alignment with operational standards.
  • Provide education solutions that improve performance, consistency, and engagement across franchised locations.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and development pathways for education leaders, facilitators, and field trainers.
  • Use data and insights to continuously refine training programs and ensure alignment with evolving business needs.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in training, education, learning & development, or talent development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leveraging emerging technologies, digital learning platforms, and AI‑enabled tools to design, deliver, and scale effective training and education programs.
  • Proven experience designing and scaling training programs across multi‑unit, franchise, or service‑based organizations, particularly within the beauty and wellness industry (preferred).
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate learning into measurable performance outcomes.
  • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable improvements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build, strengthen, and advance a relationship‑driven culture; naturally engaging, positive, and collaborative.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Experience leading field‑based education teams and working closely with operations and franchise partners.


Regis is proud to offer the following benefits for our employees: 

  • The starting salary range for this role is $175,000 per year; final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, annual bonus and internal equity.
