Job Title: Social Media Content Creator & Manager (Part-Time)

Are you chronically online in the best way possible? Do you dream in memes, live for trends, and edit videos in your sleep?

First Choice Haircutters is looking for a creative, trend-savvy Social Media Content Creator & Manager to help bring our Mississauga salons to the forefront of digital culture. We’re talking memes, TikToks, GRWMs at the salon-whatever’s trending, you’re chasing it (or better yet, starting it).


About Us

We’re First Choice Haircutters-a brand rooted in community, convenience, and killer cuts. With four busy salon locations across Mississauga (Thomas St., Hurontario, Derry Rd., and Grand Park Dr.), we're on the lookout for a digital storyteller who can help us reach a broader audience and inject fun, personality, and relevance into our social feeds.


What You'll Do

  • Create 3 pieces of content a week (memes, videos, trending audios, etc.) that are fresh, on-brand, and on-trend
  • Be the face or voice of First Choice content when needed (on-camera or VO)
  • Write clever, witty post copy that pairs perfectly with your content
  • Post and manage content across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook
  • Respond to comments and DMs with confidence and community management know-how
  • Spot trends early and give recommendations on which ones we should jump on
  • Provide insights based on social analytics to refine our content strategy
  • Occasionally visit our four salon locations in Mississauga to capture content (access to a car is a must)


What You Bring

  • A creative brain that can translate trends into scroll-stopping content
  • Experience using CapCut, Canva, OpenAI, Photoshop, and other editing tools
  • Comfort being on-camera and creating lo-fi, engaging video content
  • Working knowledge of Meta Business Manager and TikTok Business Manager
  • Understanding of social media strategy and content performance metrics
  • Copywriting skills for post captions and community replies
  • A passion for pop culture, digital communities, and all things internet
  • A flexible and self-driven work style - you’ll have lots of creative freedom!


Requirements

  • Must be based in Mississauga or nearby and able to travel to salon locations
  • Must have access to a car
  • Students welcome to apply! A degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field is an asset but not required
