JOB DESCRIPTION

Somebody is going to run this salon. It should probably be you.

The salon is open, the guests are still coming in, and the leader's chair is empty. Nothing to inherit and nothing to undo.

It is a full-service salon. Color, foils, perms, relaxers, and the corrective work that walks in when somebody else got it wrong. You would be running all of it.

The money.

You earn 50% commission on your service sales from your first day, and you keep all of your tips.

No qualifying period and no ladder to climb. Product pays up to 25% on the same plan. You are guaranteed $15.00 an hour, counting tips toward it, for every hour you work.

Your tips go on your Instant Tip card multiple times a day, not held for weeks until a paycheck, and there is no fee to you.

There is a monthly bonus on your salon's results, paid against the scorecard.

We will put the whole grid and the bonus plan in front of you at the interview. Every step, every threshold, before you decide anything.

What you would lead

•    Your own chair. This is a working leader job and most of your income comes from it.

•    The team. You coach your stylists, set expectations, and help them build their own books.

•    The schedule. You build coverage around when guests actually come in, and how many hours we are open.

•    Hiring, as we grow. You help pick the people who join your team.

•    The product business. The guests are already in front of you, and that number is yours to move.

•    The marketing. Working the store: the aisles, the Vision Center, the Auto Care Center. You would be leading it, not watching it.

We are not looking for a caretaker.

If you want a salon that runs itself, this is not it. If you have spent a few years watching somebody else make the decisions and thinking you would have made better ones, this is where you find out.

What we need

•    A current Florida cosmetology license

•    You have led a salon or been the assistant, or you are already the person everyone on your team asks for help

•    The confidence to set expectations and hold people to them

•    You can talk to a stylist honestly about her numbers without making it personal

Who we are

Yar Cuts. Family owned, 28 SmartStyle and Supercuts salons across Florida, both Regis brands. This salon has its guests and it has room. What it does not have yet is somebody running it. If you want a salon you can build and put your name on, those do not come up often.
