Position Purpose
As a member of our Real Estate team, the Real Estate Manager at Regis Corporation will be responsible for assisting our in-house Real Estate Department with real estate matters in the United States (and potentially Canada), including negotiating deal terms for agreements; communicating with landlords and franchisees; partnering with Regis colleagues to ensure timely exercise of Regis’ legal rights, and performing various tasks to support the department as required. This position reports directly to the Senior Real Estate Manager and will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our Real Estate Department.
While Regis' corporate office is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, we are open to candidates across the US. There is no expectation to relocate.
Responsibilities
- Provide consultation and expertise to franchisee partners as it pertains to lease renewals, rent reduction, and terminations
- Negotiate corporate and franchise lease renewals as needed
- Maintain lease renewal pipeline
- Support key initiatives relating to portfolio management, organic growth, closure mitigation, and market consolidation
- Build and maintain relationships with internal business partners, working closely with Legal, Operations, Constructions, GIS, and upper-level management
- Build and maintain relationships with external business partners, working closely with landlords, brokers, and franchisees
- Propose creative solutions to close transactions on a timely basis
- Participate in day-to-day transactions of the Real Estate, Development, and Franchising functions
- Support mergers and acquisition activity in real estate due diligence
- Prepare materials for portfolio reviews with landlord and franchise partners
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and set-up of industry trade shows.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in real estate management or similar field, or equivalent work experience
- 2-4 years’ experience in retail real estate
- Proven track record of working closely with senior-level managers, legal, and other real estate professionals
- Experience providing top tier support and guidance relating to lease related tasks, such as negotiations, renewals, terminations, etc.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Programs
Preferred
- Franchise real estate experience
- Experience with franchisee agreements
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate Management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and meticulous work habits
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to work well and negotiate effectively with a wide variety of personalities
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
- Energetic, proactive approach to work and the ability to self-motivate
- Professional attitude and an internal customer service orientation

- This is a salaried position starting at $75,000 and pays up to $85,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. This position is also eligible to participate in Regis' annual bonus program.
