Hair Stylist - Hillcrest | $15/hr Base + Commission, $20-30/hr Typical | PT to FT, Management Track
Licensed Stylist – Part-Time Now, Full-Time & Management Track | $15/hr Minimum + Tips + Commission | Supercuts Hillcrest
Our Hillcrest stylists typically earn $20–$30/hr with tips and commission. Your floor is $15/hr. Your ceiling is up to you.
We're hiring one part-time stylist for our Hillcrest Supercuts — and we're not just filling a chair. We're looking for the person who wants to learn this business from the floor up and be first in line for a management role as we grow.
You bring the hustle. We bring the guests, the training, the product, and a clear path forward.
What You'll Earn
$15/hr guaranteed — the minimum, not the goal
Commission takes over the moment you out-earn your hourly. No cap. You decide what you make.
Tips on top of everything
Retail commission on every Paul Mitchell and Reuzel product you put in a guest's hands
Steady walk-in traffic — no booth rent, no chasing clients, no building a book from zero
Typical Hillcrest earnings: $20–$30/hr
The Growth Path (this is the real opportunity)
➜ Start at up to 25 hours/week
➜ Grow into 35+ hours/week as the store grows — and it is growing
➜ Learn the business side: inventory, scheduling, retail targets, guest retention, team leadership
➜ Promote into Management. We promote from within. We'd rather train the right person than hire a stranger.
If you've ever thought "I could run a salon," this is where you find out — with someone teaching you, not throwing you in.
What You'll Do
• Deliver great haircuts, fast and consistently, without cutting corners
• Make every guest want to come back and ask for you by name
• Recommend and sell Paul Mitchell and Reuzel products — this is part of the job, and it's how you grow your paycheck
• Keep your station and the salon clean, stocked, and ready
• Jump in for your teammates without being asked
• Learn the numbers behind the business as you go
What We're Looking For
• Active Cosmetology or Barber license (required)
• Weekend availability — most weekends, including Sundays. This is non-negotiable; it's our busiest time and it's where the money is.
• Someone who hustles — moves with purpose, doesn't wait to be told
• A real team player. No drama, no scorekeeping.
• Comfortable recommending retail — or genuinely willing to learn. If "upselling" scares you, we'll teach you how to do it in a way that actually helps the guest.
• Knowledge of Paul Mitchell and Reuzel is a big plus — but a willingness to learn them cold counts just as much
• Ambition. You want more than a chair.
New graduates welcome. If you're licensed and hungry, we'll train you.
Why Hillcrest
Steady walk-in volume, a team that actually likes each other, an owner who's present, and management that would rather build you up than replace you.
